What a fun weekend we had! We started with Cade's birthday on Friday night. My little nephew is 11, how did that happen? Aunt Net Net did such a good job on Cade's cake, which is always a challenge. She has made rockets, volcano's, amoeba's, etc. He never picks something simple. This year, Cade is into rabbit hunting, so he wanted a rabbit hunting cake. With some supersized rabbits (Cade says that is the kind he kills anyway) and some bobble-head beagles, the cake was a huge success! On Saturday we made our reservations for our summer vacation at the Outer Banks with the Brinkley's. We are headed to Duck for a week in a house with it's own pool. Aaron, the practical child he is, asked me if it had beds after I told him it had a private pool and was at the beach. Wouldnt have thought he would care about anything but the ocean, the pool, and his cousins. Only a little over 5 months away, can't wait! Today after a little snow this morning and staying in the house all day, we went to McDonald's to get some of our energy out.
